Russian attack on Kyiv: a missile hits the logistics center of a retail chain (photos)

As a result of another massive Russian attack on Kyiv, one of the Russian missiles hit the logistics center of a large retail chain located in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital. The strike caused widespread destruction and resulted in deaths. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital, rescuers found the bodies of four dead after a Russian shell hit a 4-story warehouse building. Three more people were injured.
The fire that broke out as a result of the strike has already been extinguished, and the rubble is being cleared.
Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to eliminate the consequences and document the war crime.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the war crime of intentional killing of civilians during an armed conflict (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Combined attack: what is known as of 10 am
Russia attacked Kyiv in several waves, using cruise missiles and attack drones. Some of the targets broke through air defense and hit residential buildings, a logistics facility, and civilian infrastructure.
As of 10:00 a.m., the following is confirmed:
- 6 killed,
- more than 10 wounded,
- dozens of damaged buildings in six districts of the capital.
The biggest destructions: details by district
Dniprovsky district
- The rocket hit the 7th-9th floors of a residential building.
- A large-scale fire broke out.
- Two people died and several others were injured.
- The parking lot of taxis was additionally damaged.
Svyatoshinsky district
- The enemy hit the logistics center of a large retail chain.
- Fire and rubble caused the deaths of four people.
- Rescue operations are ongoing.
Pechersk district
- Apartments in a multi-storey building were damaged.
- Rescuers extinguished the fire, information about the victims is being clarified.
Darnytskyi district
- The station building was damaged.
- The destruction partially affected the adjacent infrastructure.
Holosiivskyi and Desnianskyi districts
- Shrapnel damage to housing and civilian infrastructure was reported.
- Emergency services are responding to all addresses, information is being updated.
Rescue operations are in full swing
Rescue operations are underway in all the areas where the hits were recorded:
- sES units,
- investigators and forensic experts,
- explosive experts,
- the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine.
Rescuers are clearing the rubble from the logistics center, continuing to extinguish fires and evacuating residents of damaged buildings.
War crime investigation
The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office has announced the opening of proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the laws and customs of war.
The investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the strike, collecting testimonies and evidence to further qualify Russia’s actions as a war crime against civilians.
