Following overnight shelling of Zaporizhzhia and a number of other regions in Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia announced temporary changes to train services. Due to power outages and the security situation, some passengers are being transported by bus, and delays are possible, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Which regions have been affected

Zaporizhzhia

After heavy shelling, the city experienced power outages. Suburban trains are running, but delays of up to one hour are possible. There are currently no cancellations.

Due to the security situation, service to/from Dnipro-Holovnyi station is temporarily restricted for trains:

Regional express trains to Izium run according to schedule.

Sumy and Chernihiv regions

Regional trains are temporarily running to and from Konotop.
Adapted schedules for suburban services have been introduced on the Nizhyn route.

Mykolaiv

During air raid alerts at the station, passengers are asked to pay close attention to announcements and, if necessary, proceed to shelters.

Kherson

UZ monitoring groups are working in enhanced mode. Traffic is being organized taking into account the current security situation.

Why the routes were changed

Nightly Russian shelling has caused power outages, which directly affects the movement of electric trains and the operation of railway infrastructure. For the safety of passengers and to minimize risks, the company has quickly implemented alternative routes and bus transportation.

What passengers need to know

  • Some flights may be delayed.
  • some destinations are temporarily served by buses;
  • pay close attention to announcements at stations;
  • in case of alarm, immediately proceed to shelters.

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes that the schedule may change depending on the security situation.
