“Autostrada” reported on its loans and disclosed the government’s debt—over 5 billion hryvnias

The Autostrada Group of Companies has stated that, as of the end of 2025, it has fully repaid all loans to Ukrainian banks and has no overdue debt. This is stated in the company’s response to an information request from the publication
The editorial inquiry concerned information (circulated the day before by activist Vladislav Smirnov) regarding the group’s alleged growth in its loan portfolio. Specifically, it was noted that recently, the “Autostrada Group of Companies” may have “increased its loan portfolio by 1.05 billion UAH, and Autostrada Production Company LLC by 900 million UAH.”
The company does not disclose its loan portfolio or its lending banks
In its response, the company stated that information regarding the loan portfolio, lending banks, and loan amounts is confidential and constitutes a trade secret, and therefore is not subject to disclosure.
At the same time, the company noted that the group cooperates with leading Ukrainian banks, both state-owned and private, as well as with international financial institutions represented in Ukraine.

The company states that it has no outstanding debts to banks
According to the group, as of the end of 2025, all loans to Ukrainian banks had been repaid in full.
“The company has a sufficiently high level of liquidity and does not require long-term credit lines. All of Autostrada’s loans to Ukrainian banks were fully repaid as of the end of 2025.
“Autostrada” has never had any overdue debt regarding principal or interest payments, and has never conducted any restructuring or deferred interest payments.
“The balances in the group’s deposit accounts as of the end of 2025 amounted to over UAH 2 billion,” the company reported
Loans are used to cover cash flow gaps caused by government debts
The company explained that credit lines are opened primarily to cover cash flow gaps in cases of late payments by the government for work performed.
According to the group, as of the end of March 2026, the government’s debt to Autostrada Group LLC for completed work exceeds 5 billion UAH.
The editorial team also inquired about the group’s structure
In the request, the editorial team specifically asked for information regarding:
- the total number of companies (LLCs) within the group;
- the group’s total loan portfolio;
- the dynamics of loans during the years of full-scale war;
- the top 5 lending banks and the loan amounts at each of them.
However, the company did not disclose this data, citing commercial confidentiality.
