According to sources close to the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump is developing a new plan for Ukraine that has not been previously made public. This is stated in a Politico article, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
The plan envisages a quick end to the conflict in Ukraine and significant changes in relations with NATO. According to the report, Trump is considering an agreement under which NATO would stop further expansion to the east, in particular to Ukraine and Georgia.
In addition, the plan envisages negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on how much of Ukraine’s territory Moscow can retain. This information came from two national security experts associated with Trump, the newspaper claims.
This approach could mean a significant departure from the current US and NATO policy towards Ukraine and the territorial integrity of the countries in the region.
The day before, the media reported on Trump’s plan. He plans to bring Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table and force them to make peace, with each side retaining the territory it controls. If Ukraine refuses such a peace, the United States will cut off all aid to it. If Russia refuses such a peace, the United States arms Ukraine to the teeth so that it can defeat Russia on the battlefield as quickly as possible.
