A detention is taking place near the Prosecutor General’s Office in Kyiv. The area is blocked.

This was reported by [Kommersant] reports media outlet, citing its own sources.

Law enforcement officers reportedly blocked some streets near the building, and the area is partially blocked for traffic.

According to the sources "Komersant Ukrainian" sources, a detention has taken place, probably of Ruslan Pakhomov, the former head of the cybercrime unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, but the editorial office has not yet received official confirmation of this information.

What is known about Ruslan Pakhomov

Ruslan Pakhomov intended to head the Bureau of Economic Security and has experience in the FBI. He resigned from law enforcement in early 2012 due to value differences with then-Minister Zakharchenko.

In recent years, he has been working closely with state law enforcement agencies to transform them. In particular, under his leadership, a new concept of the Electronic Court was developed and the BES processes were audited. Pakhomov is also the ideologist of the war crimes recording portal warcrimes.gov.ua.
