A large-scale project is starting to be implemented in the village of Kobolchyn, Sokyryansky district, to build a plant for the production of concentrated juices called Interjuice Bukovyna. This was announced by the head of the Chernivtsi Regional Council, Oleksiy Boyko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to him, the production is scheduled to start by the end of this year. Currently, preparatory work is underway, including paperwork, registration and obtaining the appropriate permits.

What is known about the new plant

The company will be able to process up to 1.5 thousand tons of fruit raw materials per day, and its main products will be concentrated apple juice, as well as juices from local berries: raspberries, cherries, cherries, plums, etc.

Raw materials for production are planned to be purchased primarily from farms in Chernivtsi and neighboring regions, which will be an additional support for agricultural producers.

In addition to the main products, the plant will produce biogas obtained from fruit processing. It is planned to use it to heat local buildings, which will be an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solution for the community.

The project is expected to create about 150 jobs and provide stable revenues to the local budget.

The infrastructure will include warehouses, treatment and drying facilities, administrative buildings, and access roads. All stages are being coordinated by the Fruit Industry initiative campaign.

Who initiated the construction of the new plant

Interjus Bukovyna LLC, according to Opendatabot, belongs to the TAS financial and industrial group of businessman Serhiy Tihipko. The company was founded in February 2020 in the Chernivtsi region. The main activity is the production of fruit and vegetable juices.

Fruit Industry LLC is also owned by Sergiy Tigipko. It was registered seven months ago, in September 2024.
