Apple is preparing to release a budget MacBook, which will feature an iPhone processor and bright colors. Its announcement will take place in March, according to Bloomberg, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

The key feature of the new product will be the use of the A18 Pro processor from the iPhone 16 Pro instead of the traditional Apple Silicon M-series chips. Although the solution will be inferior in performance to the current MacBook Air models, the A18 Pro demonstrates a level comparable to the M1.

According to rumors, the laptop will have a display with a diagonal of less than 13 inches, approximately 12.9 inches, and will retain its metal body. The company has refused to use plastic in order to reduce costs. Instead, Apple has developed a faster and more economical technology for manufacturing aluminum cases compared to the current MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.

Special emphasis has been placed on the color palette. Light yellow, light green, blue, pink, silver, and dark gray options are being considered as part of testing.

The estimated starting price of the device could be around $699, which is significantly lower than the base version of the MacBook Air, which costs $999. Thus, the company is likely seeking to attract users who previously considered Mac computers too expensive for everyday tasks.
