The European Business Association (EBA) has called on the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers to urgently resolve 5 key problems with the reservation of persons liable for military service. This is stated in a statement by the EBA, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
5 proposals of the EBA:
- Extend the deadline for updating military records to 150 days.
- Launch the electronic booking system through the Diia portal as soon as possible.
- Provide 30 days of immunity from mobilisation for updating data in the CCM and JV.
- Allow booking without restrictions for transport industry employees.
- Introduce an economy booking system in the country.
EBA emphasises that these measures are critical for the continued functioning of Ukraine’s business and economy under martial law. The Association calls on the authorities to engage in dialogue and find compromise solutions on these issues.
According to the Ministry of Defence, as of 25 June, only 2.3 million of the approximately 11 million people liable for military service had updated their data, which underscores the urgency of the proposed changes, according to the EBA.
