After being interrogated by the SBU, MP Yuriy Boyko, who previously headed the banned OPFL and now heads the Platform for Life and Peace, recorded a video apologizing to Ukrainians and calling Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin a war criminal. Boyko posted the video on TikTok, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Boyko said that his last statement caused a sharp reaction in society, so he wants to clarify the situation.

“First of all. I definitely don’t want my statement to be used by the Russian Federation and war criminal Putin to justify aggression and attack on our country. If any of the Ukrainians who are fighting at the front or working in the rear to support the victory were offended by my words, I want to apologize,” Boyko said.

He added that everyone should be united, focused on defeating the external enemy and putting aside all internal differences. He also called on politicians to unite the country and people and work for victory.

It should be noted that Yuriy Boyko, the former co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, which was banned in 2022, posted a statement on TikTok in which he expressed support for people who allegedly suffer from some “radicals” in Ukraine and an alleged ban on speaking their native language.

He accused the unnamed “radicals” of forbidding people in Ukraine to speak their native language, go to the church they want, demolish monuments, and rename cities.

Has the election campaign really started and are there any chances for Ukrainians to join the “fifth column” in the third year of a full-scale warKommersant Ukrainian looked into it.

We would like to add that a draft resolution to recall Yuriy Boyko from the position of a member of the Human Rights Committee has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
