Budanov explains why the war between Israel and Iran has not affected supplies to Russia

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the war between Israel and Iran has not affected the logistics of supplying kamikaze drones to Russia. Budanov said this on the air of the program “On the Line of Fire,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The reason is that the Russian Federation has already established its own production of Shahed drones on its territory and is not critically dependent on Iranian supplies.
“I am sorry to disappoint you, but the Russian Federation does not depend on supplies from Iran. Only components come from Iran, mostly gunpowder. The whole process is a bit slow, but let’s just say that you will not see this delay and slowdown seriously. Chess pieces have been produced in Russia for a long time, so no, the answer is simple: it will not seriously affect us,” explained the head of the DIU.
Budanov also commented on the possibility of Russia’s armed support for Iran. According to him, such assistance is technically possible, but politically it is unlikely.
“Is it technically possible? Yes, it is technically possible. Will it do it? No, it will not. And the explanation for this lies in the plane of geopolitics,” Budanov emphasized.
Thus, according to the head of the Ukrainian military intelligence, Iran’s conflict with Israel has not affected the scope or pace of military-technical cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
