The head of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, said that he does not plan to take a long vacation after the war, saying that a few days will be enough. And he will not be able to completely retire from work. The head of Ukrainian intelligence said this in an interview with journalist Ramina Eskhakzai, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
I will not go to the forest, I do not need peace. I will be able to rest for a few days. I would like that,” he said.
When asked about his ideal vacation format, Budanov noted that there is no such thing for him.
“It doesn’t exist. I can’t, I can’t completely step away from work. Once again, I’m a leader, so this is a different problem,” the intelligence officer added.
However, according to Budanov, his approach to his subordinates is somewhat different. He says that he makes them take a break to avoid exhaustion.
“Sometimes I force my subordinates, as they say, to go on vacation, to change the picture, because I see that they are not pulling their weight psychologically and emotionally… ‘Tomorrow you are going on vacation. You’re going there, you’re on your own…”, the DIU chief said.
