Reservists will defend oil refineries: a draft law on conscription of reservists has been submitted to the State Duma

A draft law has been submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation that allows Russians from the mobilization reserve to be used to ensure security in Russia. The document envisages sending reservists to special training camps to protect critical facilities and other life-support objects.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian propaganda media.
Earlier, Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, deputy head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, said that reservists would be able to be used to protect energy, transport and oil refineries from drones.
“There is no question of any mobilization. The draft law applies only to citizens who have voluntarily signed a contract to join the reserve,” he emphasized, noting that reservists will not be sent to war against Ukraine.
The bill amends the federal laws “On Defense” and “On Military Duty and Military Service.” Under current law, units manned by reservists can only be used during mobilization or wartime, while the new document provides for their use in peacetime.
