Part of Rivne was left without electricity: what is the reason?

A partial power outage occurred in the regional center of Rivne region. The head of the regional administration, Oleksandr Koval, wrote about it on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“For technical reasons, some subscribers of the regional center were left without electricity. Electricians are working to solve the problem,” the statement reads.
The official clarified that the power is expected to be restored in a few hours. At the same time, Koval did not disclose the exact reasons for the power outage and did not name the number of subscribers who were temporarily left without electricity.
The city of Chernihiv in the north of the country is experiencing power outages. Before that, several explosions occurred in the town and a massive fire broke out.
Two days earlier, blackout schedules were introduced in two regions of Ukraine – Vinnytsia and Chernihiv. They will be in effect from October 1 this year until April 1, 2026.
