30 March 11:05

As a result of Russian shelling and hostilities, some consumers in seven regions of Ukraine were temporarily left without power on March 30. This refers to regions where localized power outages occurred due to strikes on energy infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

Which regions are without power on March 30

According to the Ministry of Energy, temporary power outages were recorded in the following regions:

  • Dnipropetrovsk
  • Zaporizhzhia
  • Odesa
  • Khmelnytskyi
  • Sumy
  • Kharkiv
  • Chernihiv.

The agency clarified that only some consumers were left without power, not the entire region.

Why the power outages occurred

The Ministry of Energy cited the consequences of hostilities and shelling of energy infrastructure facilities as the cause of the power outages.

Russian attacks continue to disrupt the power grid, leading to emergencies and the need for repair work in certain regions.

What the Ministry of Energy is saying

The ministry noted that energy workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible. Restoration work is ongoing 24/7.

At the same time, the Ministry of Energy emphasized that as of March 30, no rolling blackouts are expected. In other words, this refers specifically to the local consequences of the shelling, not to planned outages across the entire country.

Will there be power outage schedules on March 30?

As of the morning of March 30, no restrictions are being imposed on consumers.

However, Ukrainians are urged to monitor announcements from their regional power companies, as the situation in the power grid may change depending on the security situation and the progress of repair work.

Where to check information about power

The Ministry of Energy advises checking for the latest information on possible changes to power supply on the official websites of distribution system operators, i.e., the regional power companies in your area.

There you can find:

  • information about emergency power outages;
  • expected restoration times;
  • updates on repair work;
  • possible local restrictions.

How Ukrainians are being asked to use electricity

Despite the absence of nationwide restrictions, the ministry is urging consumers to use electricity sparingly during peak hours—in the morning and evening.

This helps reduce the load on the system and makes it easier for utility workers to restore the grid following Russian attacks.
