Men will be able to update data for civil registration with a 50% discount: draft law registered in the Verkhovna Rada
7 October 2024 20:56
Last week, MPs registered a a draft lawaccording to which conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists can independently apply to the MCC and JVs to clarify their personal data and pay a fine when updating their data – UAH 8.5 thousand instead of UAH 17 thousand.
As of today, the draft law has been sent to the Committee for consideration, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the current law on mobilisation, the last day to update information without violating the law was 16 July.
In this regard, the MPs made a proposal to allow the data to be updated with a delay. According to the explanatory note, the proposed amendments to the law
– simplify the process of reviewing administrative violations under Articles 210 and 210-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences;
– allow those who failed to update their data without good reason to pay 50% of the minimum fine (UAH 8,500) by initiating the case through the electronic office of a person liable for military service, conscript or reservist.
The MPs emphasise that the clarification of personal data will be a prerequisite for cost-effective booking and the use of other key functions of the e-cabinet. This, in turn, will encourage a significant number of persons liable for military service to take advantage of the new opportunity.
In addition, submitting an application and paying a fine through the e-cabinet will allow for a 50% discount on the amount of the administrative penalty.
According to the explanatory note published on the VR website, this draft law aims to solve the problem by providing conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists with the opportunity to update their data in the CCP and pay a fine of half the minimum amount. This measure is expected to contribute to the state budget through the payment of fines and to update the information in the Unified State Register of Conscripts and Persons Liable for Military Service.
As a reminder, the Government has recently introduced a new condition for booking men. Among the grounds that allow a government agency or enterprise to refuse to book their employee is the absence of information about the citizen in the Register of Persons Liable for Military Service. This is stated in Resolution No. 1125 of 1 October.
