Residents of Ivano-Frankivsk region complain that while most consumers in the region live according to hourly power outage schedules, the Bukovel ski resort has constant electricity. Prikarpattyaoblenergo explains that the resort has its own generators and purchases imported electricity, so it has power even during outages.

This was announced during a meeting with the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration by Vasyl Kostyuk, chairman of the board of Prykarpattyaoblenergo, according to "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Suspilne.

According to him, there are many complaints from people that the company does not apply hourly and emergency power outage schedules for Bukovel.

“The schedules are applied equally to all consumers in the region. Bukovel has generator power and also operates on imports. It currently purchases 15 megawatts of power for its needs. In total, there are eight such consumers in the region who purchase imported electricity,” Vasyl Kostyuk explained.

He added that Ivano-Frankivsk region currently has a load on the power system ranging from 400 to 440 megawatts of power. Household consumers use the most electricity in the region, accounting for 40%. Industry accounts for 32%, utilities for 14%, and the rest for 12%. In total, there are 576,000 consumers in the Carpathian region.

Due to the severe frosts, Prikarpattyaoblenergo employees have canceled all scheduled work, but are carrying out emergency work and connecting consumers.
