The possibility of demobilisation during the war in Ukraine remains in question, depending on many factors. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" reports with reference to Krapka.media.

According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence, Dmytro Lazutkin, the decision to demobilise should be made in consultation with the General Staff, military leadership, the Ministry of Defence and other relevant structures.

The speaker explained that the situation at the frontline and the pace of mobilisation are key factors affecting the possibility of demobilisation. The Verkhovna Rada is currently working on a draft law on demobilisation, but the process remains complex and depends on many variables, including the mobilisation processes in Russia.

The defence ministry spokesman also said that he regularly receives questions about demobilisation from soldiers on the frontline. Lazutkin stressed that a serious analytical study of the situation is required to make a decision on demobilisation.

Lazutkin stressed that a serious analytical study of the situation is needed before a decision on demobilisation can be made.

“I cannot say for sure whether demobilisation will be possible, as it depends on many theoretical and practical factors, including possible mobilisation in Russia and changes in the situation on the battlefield due to Western support,” the defence ministry spokesman concluded.
