Law enforcement officers exposed the head of one of the departments of the Kyiv City State Administration, who “overpaid” UAH 4.8 million when purchasing generators for the Invincibility Points. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Kyiv, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

It has been established that during the blackouts in 2023, the official entered into an agreement with a private company to purchase diesel generators for heating points. However, according to the conclusions of forensic examinations, the cost of the purchased equipment was significantly overestimated – the “overpayment” amounted to more than UAH 4.8 million.

Police found that the official failed to properly monitor market prices and did not check the real value of the goods, which caused significant losses to the budget.

Police investigators notified him of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code (official negligence).

The sanction of the article provides for up to five years in prison with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

The “Fulcrums” project was initiated in November 2022 amid massive Russian shelling of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

The resilience points are places where heat, water, electricity, mobile communications, etc. are provided.
