President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered a review of the system of replenishing combat brigades with personnel. This is due to numerous complaints from the military about the uneven and unfair distribution of soldiers between units. The head of state announced this in his evening address, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“The replenishment of brigades with people should be reviewed, of course. Almost every combat brigade is talking about this, and now there is an order from the Stavka to Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov to work on this together with Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Presidential Office and a very experienced military man. In the near future, draft decisions should be prepared for me,” Zelenskyy said.

New initiatives for frontline units

The President emphasized that during his visits to the frontline areas, the military had repeatedly asked for a fair distribution of personnel and additional support.

on November 11, Zelenskyy promised to allocate additional funding to the frontline units, as the available resources are not enough to cover all needs.

In addition, the issue of the military’s ability to purchase the necessary equipment for combat operations on their own will be addressed.

on November 4, the President announced an increase in funding for the corps to purchase drones, primarily for units on the front line.

Contracts and legislative changes

In early November, the Ministry of Defense began preparing new types of contracts for military personnel on the President’s instructions, and amended legislation regarding the conditions of service and provision of units.

These steps are aimed at increasing the efficiency of combat unit management, ensuring fair recruitment of brigades, and improving the material supply of the military.
