He gave Iran another 48 hours: Trump promised Tehran hell if the Strait of Hormuz isn’t opened

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again issued an ultimatum to Tehran, stating that the Strait of Hormuz must be opened within 48 hours, or else Iran will face hell.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Trump’s post on Twitter.
“Remember how I gave Iran ten days to make a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz? Time is running out—48 hours before hell breaks loose on them,” Trump wrote.
The Situation with the Strait of Hormuz
As is known, on March 22, the U.S. president had already given Iran 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz, otherwise he promised to destroy the Islamic Republic’s power plants.
At that time, Tehran responded to U.S. threats to destroy Iran’s power plants if the strait was not opened. Iran’s retaliatory threats turned out to be even more extensive—the Iranian military promised a counterstrike targeting U.S. energy, information technology, and desalination infrastructure in the region if Washington did indeed take such a step.
As is known, Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz at the start of the war, triggering a massive global oil crisis that caused fuel prices to skyrocket. Gasoline prices also spiked in the U.S. as a result, and Washington began making efforts to unblock the strait, as this would have a significant impact on the U.S. elections and the Republicans’ standing in them.
At the time, Trump even called on NATO allies to help him unblock the Strait of Hormuz, but they refused, which angered the U.S. president and led to further statements about withdrawing from NATO.
It should be noted that Tehran claimed in its defense that the Strait of Hormuz was open, but only to ships from countries not hostile to Iran. Last week, Iran agreed to allow 20 ships flying the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
