There are now more MPs under suspicion by NABU than those who are not, says Anna Skorokhod

Statements by NABU and SAP regarding dozens of suspicions against MPs in an interview with a YouTube channel
were commented on by Ukrainian MP Anna Skorokhod.
“Look, my colleagues and I were sitting in a row and talking about criminal cases. About how everything is done, how you can’t achieve anything, and other things. And we were like, wow, we’re all under suspicion here. And, you know, we’re already joking that there are more suspicions than not,” she said.
Commenting on the statements by NABU head Semen Kryvonos about 41 MPs who have already been declared suspects, as well as announcements of new cases based on the so-called “tapes,” Skorokhod stressed that the announcements themselves do not yet mean real results of the investigation.
“They can announce anything, but, unfortunately, everything is done this way, you understand, and everything is done for a reason,” she said.

The MP also drew attention to the timing of the publication of statements about high-profile revelations and important foreign policy events, in particular the president’s trips or negotiation processes.
“I’m not defending anyone here, but take note: all major events take place and are published during some major trips by the president or during negotiation processes, meetings of our delegation with the Muscovite delegation. So, well, that’s the story,” she said.
Separately, Anna Skorokhod questioned the effectiveness of anti-corruption investigations, given the lack of completed cases with real convictions based on full proof of guilt in court.
“As for the suspicions that are being raised, well, show me at least one case that ended with a conviction based on actual evidence, and not on the basis that someone made a deal with the investigation. And on the basis of his testimony, people were imprisoned. There are also many such cases,” she believes.
