The state will distribute free charging stations: who is eligible for assistance and what conditions must be met

In Ukraine, families raising children with subgroup A disabilities will be able to receive portable charging stations for medical and rehabilitation devices free of charge.
This was announced by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Applications for assistance can be submitted until April 1, 2026.
The initiative is being implemented as part of a state program to support families with children with disabilities amid the difficult energy supply situation.
Who is eligible for assistance
Families are eligible for a free charging station if:
- are raising a child with a subgroup A disability;
- the child is under 18 years of age at the time of application;
- the applicant is one of the parents, guardian, or other legal representative of the child.
The Pension Fund specifies that the charging stations will be transferred to the ownership of the families.
How much equipment is planned to be transferred
According to the PFU, the state plans to purchase and distribute about 10,000 portable charging stations.
The approximate capacity of each is about 2 kWh. Such devices are designed to ensure the uninterrupted operation of vital equipment, in particular medical, rehabilitation, and assistive devices on which the health of children directly depends.
How to apply
To receive a charging station, the child’s legal representative must personally apply to the territorial branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
When submitting an application, the following must be provided:
- the applicant’s personal data;
- information about the child with a disability;
- information from the medical report establishing disability.
After reviewing the documents and making a decision, the applicant will be informed about the possibility of receiving a charging station.
Where and when you can get the equipment
Charging stations will be issued through Ukrposhta branches . The Pension Fund will provide additional information about the date and place of receipt.
The agency emphasizes that the deadline for submitting applications is April 1, 2026, after which the acceptance of documents will be suspended.
