David Beckham to become editor-in-chief of rural life magazine

The legendary footballer and style icon David Beckham will take on an unusual role – he will become the guest editor-in-chief of the British magazine Country Life, dedicated to rural life and traditions of the UK.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to MMR.

Previously, this honorable role was held exclusively by members of the British royal family, including King Charles III, who edited the magazine in 2013 and 2018, as well as Princess Anne and Queen Camilla. Beckham is the first non-monarch to receive this honor. In his new role, he plans to bring a fresh perspective to topics related to nature, agriculture and country life culture.

This event came as a surprise to fans who are used to seeing Beckham on the football field or in fashion campaigns – although in fact, he is a well-known lover of working on the land, a gardener and vegetable grower. The special issue of the magazine, edited by him, will feature exclusive content, including interviews with farmers, gardening tips and personal stories from the star’s life at his country home in the Cotswolds. The issue of the magazine edited by Beckham will be released on October 22, 2025 and is already causing a stir. According to the publication, this collaboration will attract a new audience to the topic of rural life, while preserving the spirit and traditions of the magazine, which is more than 120 years old.
