By October 10, doctors can apply for a one-time payment of UAH 200 thousand: step-by-step instructions

Young doctors who complete their internships in 2025 and are ready to work in rural areas or in frontline territories have a chance to receive a one-time state aid of UAH 200,000. You can submit documents until October 10, 2025. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
Who can apply for the payment
Internship graduates of 20 state universities managed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science can receive financial support from the state.
The payment is provided to those doctors who are ready to work in communities where there is the greatest need for qualified specialists:
- in rural areas;
- in the areas of active hostilities.
What are the conditions for receiving it?
To receive the payment, a young doctor must:
Find a vacancy on the Unified Web Portal of Vacancies for Healthcare Workers in a state or municipal institution that meets the requirements (rural or frontline regions).
Make sure that the staffing of medical positions in this institution does not exceed 75%.
Sign a contract with the healthcare facility for at least 3 years.
Receive a letter of confirmation from the healthcare facility that it meets the requirements of the resolution.
Important: the selected vacancy must be posted on the Unified Web Portal at the time of employment.
Required documents
By October 10, the doctor must submit to the educational institution where he or she completed the internship
- an application addressed to the rector (in any form);
- a confirmation letter from the medical institution;
- copies of diploma and certificate of qualification (if necessary);
- a copy of the employment record book or an extract from the Register of Insured Persons;
- a copy of the signed employment contract.
You can submit documents in person or by e-mail to the official contacts of the university.
When will the money be paid?
After verifying the documents, the educational institution issues an order to award the allowance. The payment is made by the end of the budget year.
In what cases will you have to return the money
A refund (within 10 days) is required if the doctor resigns early at his/her own request, by agreement of the parties, or due to improper performance of duties.
However, there are exceptions when you do not need to return the money:
- the healthcare facility was closed or lost its profile;
- force majeure circumstances;
- establishment of disability of group I or II to the physician or his/her relatives;
- conscription of a doctor to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
