Up to -24°C and black ice: weather forecast for Ukraine on February 10

Today, February 10, Ukraine is expected to experience a sharp cold snap, with temperatures in northern regions dropping to -24°C in some places. At the same time, no significant precipitation is forecast. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to forecasters, most regions will remain dry, but the situation on the roads may be complicated by frost and fog.

Fog and black ice: where it will be dangerous

Fog is forecast in some places in the central regions, as well as in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, during the night and morning hours. Black ice is possible on the roads in some places, so drivers are advised to be especially careful.

No precipitation is expected in most regions. Only in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia is light wet snow and rain possible during the day.

Strong winds in the west

Windy weather is forecast in the west of the country. In some areas, wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s, which may lead to difficult weather conditions, especially in mountain passes.

At night:

  • in most regions -15…-20°
  • in northern regions in some places -22…-24°
  • in the west and south -12…-17°
  • in Zakarpattia 0…-5°
  • in Crimea -5…-10°

During the day:

  • in most regions -7…-12°
  • in the west and south -1…-6°
  • in Transcarpathia 1… 6°
  • in Crimea around 0°

Forecasters remind us that such temperatures increase the risk of hypothermia and complicate traffic, so they advise planning trips with weather conditions in mind.
