Warming weather is coming to Ukraine: weather forecast for February 19

Frosty weather will continue in Ukraine in the coming days, but the situation will begin to change at the end of the week. Forecasters predict a significant warming trend after February 23. Until then, Ukrainians can expect nighttime temperatures as low as -12 degrees Celsius, strong winds, and snow in some areas.
This was reported by renowned forecaster Natalka Didenko, who published a detailed weather forecast for the coming days, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
On February 19, Ukraine is expected to see frosts down to -12 degrees
On the night of Thursday, February 19, the air temperature will be lowest in the northern regions, parts of the central regions, and in some places in the Odesa region.
According to the forecaster’s forecast:
- in the north and center: -9…-12°C
- in most regions: -4…-9°C
- in the south and Zakarpattia: around 0°C
Daytime temperatures will also remain low:
- in most regions: -2…-5°C
- in the north in some places: up to -7°C
- in the south, southeast, and southwest: from -1°C to 3°C
- in Crimea: 4…7°C.

Strong winds and snow: which regions will be affected by bad weather
Forecasters warn of difficult weather conditions in some regions. In particular, strong winds with storm gusts are expected in:
- southern regions
- eastern regions
- part of central Ukraine.
The cyclone that brought snow, sleet, and blizzards is gradually leaving Ukraine. Precipitation will continue on the left bank tonight, but by the afternoon of February 19, most of the country will be without significant precipitation.
In the east and northeast, snow is still possible during the day, but by evening, dry weather will set in there as well.
Weather in Kyiv on February 19: frost and strong winds
Snow is expected in the capital tonight, but precipitation will stop during the day.
The air temperature in Kyiv will be:
- at night: around -10°C
- during the day: around -5°C.
The wind will be northwesterly, gusty, and uncomfortable, which will intensify the feeling of cold.
When will Ukraine see warmer weather?
According to Natalka Didenko’s forecast, a noticeable warming will begin in Ukraine on Monday, February 23.
The following is expected:
- an increase in air temperature
- a weakening of the frost
- more stable weather conditions
The gradual warming will cover most regions of Ukraine and will mark the beginning of a change in weather patterns after a long period of frost.
