Revenue of Ukrainian retailers increased by 17%: TOP-10 companies

Ukrainian retail is showing an impressive recovery: according to the Opendatabot 2025 Index, the total revenue of the top 10 retail companies reached UAH 529.24 billion, which is 17% more than last year. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Opendatabot.
For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war, none of the leading companies suffered losses, and their total profit amounted to UAH 9.82 billion. In this article, we will analyze who topped the ranking, which chains showed the greatest growth, and how this affects the Ukrainian economy.
How the revenues of retail leaders have changed: key figures
In 2024, Ukrainian retailers from the top 10 of the Opendatabot Index made significant progress:
- Total revenue: uAH 529.24 billion (17% year-on-year).
- Total profit: UAH 9.82 billion.
- Special feature of the year: none of the companies reported losses for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war
These figures demonstrate that businesses are adapting to wartime conditions and that demand for everyday goods is growing.

The leader of the rating: ATB-Market
For the third year in a row, ATB-Market has been ranked first in terms of revenue. In 2024, the company’s revenue grew by 15% to UAH 208.9 billion, which is 39.5% of the total revenue of the top 10. The chain’s profit reached UAH 3.1 billion, ranking it second in this indicator.
ATB also plays an important role in the country’s economy: last year, the company paid UAH 28.61 billion in taxes and fees, which is UAH 4 billion more than in the previous year. The network plans to further increase its tax contributions and support defenders and civilians.
Champion in terms of profit: Bargain shopping / Aurora
The leader in terms of profit was the Bargain / Aurora chain, which earned UAH 4.08 billion. In terms of revenue, the company ranked third with UAH 37.9 billion (40% for the year). In 2024, Aurora changed its focus from wholesale to retail, which brought significant results.
The chain is actively expanding: more than 300 new stores have been opened, and almost 3000 jobs have been created. Currently, Aurora has 1615 stores in Ukraine and 30 in Romania, demonstrating its ambitions in the international market.
Top 10 retailers: who else is in the lead?
Silpo-Food/Silpo took the second place in terms of revenue with UAH 93.02 billion (10%) and a profit of UAH 205 million. After two years of losses, the chain returned to positive performance.
Fora took the fourth place with revenue of UAH 34.95 billion (19%) and profit of UAH 123.5 million (up 5 times).
Rozetka.UA/Rozetka took the fifth place, rising from the seventh due to revenue of UAH 29.74 billion (17%).

Novus Ukraine reported revenue of UAH 29.01 billion (23%) and profit of UAH 561 million. CEO Mark Petkevich emphasized:
“We paid over UAH 2.5 billion in taxes and donated UAH 155 million to charity. More than 70% of the assortment is Ukrainian goods, which supports national producers.”
Among other leaders:
- Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine/Metro: revenue of UAH 28.75 billion (12.5%), profit of UAH 178 million (the first profit after two years of losses).
- RUSH / EVA: revenue of UAH 26.93 billion (28%), profit of UAH 1.4 billion.
- Omega/Varus: revenue UAH 20.02 billion (14%), profit UAH 38.2 million.
- Foodcom/Velyka Kyshenya: revenue of UAH 19.92 billion (16%), profit of UAH 116.6 million.

Why did some companies not make it to the top?
Well-known chains such as Epicenter K / Epicenter (for the second year in a row) and Comfy Trade / Comfy (for the first time) were not included in the Index due to late reporting.
This emphasizes the importance of transparency for participation in the ranking.
What does this mean for the Ukrainian economy?
The 17% increase in retailers’ revenues and the absence of losses in the top 10 is a positive signal for the economy. Companies have not only adapted to the challenges of the war, but also actively support the state through taxes, jobs, and charity.
Industry leaders such as ATB and Aurora demonstrate that even in difficult times it is possible to scale up business and contribute to the country’s recovery.
