The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces neither confirmed nor denied the report, noting only that intense fighting was ongoing in these areas and that Kyiv was focusing its efforts on the town of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region.

Russia also continued its air offensive against Ukraine, launching three missiles and 29 drones from Kursk as well as two other regions.
