Rain and frost: weather forecast for October 15

Today, October 15, the weather in Ukraine will be cold and wet. Most regions will experience a drop in air temperature, with frosts in some places. This was reported by the Ukrainian Weather Center and forecaster Natalia Didenko.
According to her, 1…4°C is expected overnight, with temperatures dropping to zero and even slightly lower in some places. In the afternoon on October 15, it will be 7…11°C, in Transcarpathia, in the southern part and in the southeast – 11…15°C.
Rains are most likely tomorrow in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. No significant precipitation is expected in the rest of Ukraine.
“The fog will moisten the air and make drivers more vigilant, as visibility may be blurred,” the forecaster said.
Cold weather is expected in Kyiv on October 15 with night temperatures of 2…5°C. During the day, the thermometer will show only 8°C. There may be light rain in the morning, and no significant precipitation in the afternoon.
Didenko added that the next weekend, October 25-26, may be warmer. However, she noted that this is only a tentative forecast that needs to be clarified.
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, on the night of October 15 in the southern, central, eastern and Sumy

In this regard, the first level of danger, yellow, has been declared.
Most regions will be under the influence of a high pressure field, so no significant precipitation is expected. Only in the northeast of the country is there a possibility of light rain during the day.
According to weather forecasters, a cold air mass is dominating the territory of Ukraine. As a result, frosts on the soil surface are expected to reach 0-3° below zero at night in the southern, central, eastern and Sumy regions. During the day, it will also be cool: the air temperature will rise to only 6-11° Celsius, and in the south – up to 14°.
In the Carpathians, the weather will remain cold: 0-3° below zero at night and 1-6° above zero during the day.
In Transcarpathia, there will be fog in some places at night and in the morning, which may hamper visibility on the roads.
The wind is expected to be westerly, 5-10 m/s.
