A drone attack partially stopped the Druzhba. What does Moscow promise Hungary?

A Ukrainian drone attacked a metering station of the Druzhba oil pipeline on the night of March 11, which temporarily suspended oil transportation to Hungary.

This was reported by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“In fact, due to a nighttime drone attack, we had to temporarily suspend oil transportation through the Druzhba pipeline in the direction of Hungary,” the minister said.

Szijjarto noted that he had already discussed the situation with Russia’s Deputy Energy Minister, who assured him that repairs were underway and that supplies could resume in the near future.

The Hungarian foreign minister criticized the attacks on energy infrastructure:

“We have stayed out of this war so far and we want to stay out of it in the future. Hungary’s energy supply is a matter of sovereignty, and we expect everyone to respect that.”

He also said that the European Commission had guaranteed security of supply, but that this guarantee had been violated.

As a reminder, on the night of March 11, Ukrainian troops struck a number of strategic Russian targets involved in supporting the armed aggression against Ukraine.

Hungary will agree to further EU sanctions against Russia only after reaching an agreement with US President Donald Trump.
