ANNOUNCEMENT

MP Serhii Vlasenko and former SAPO prosecutor Stanislav Bronevytskyi discuss the failures and achievements of NABU and SAPO, recall the scandalous Mindich and Zhevaho cases, raise the question of the feasibility of rebooting the SBI, NPU and PGO, and talk about classified agreements with the investigation and how to use the funds received from them.

The speakers agreed that the country has indeed built a unique anti-corruption ecosystem, but 10 years later, society still does not feel its effectiveness.

They discussed why this happened and where to go from here.

Separately, the guests commented on high-profile scandals, from the Mindich tapes to the French court’s decision in the case of Kostiantyn Zhevaho and the plea bargain in the Odesa airport case.

The speakers also raised the issue of the role of the Prosecutor General at the stage of pre-trial investigation by NABU detectives and heatedly debated the effectiveness of competition commissions and the Public Integrity Council.
