Ukrainian grain exports in early October are significantly lower than last year

As of October 6, Ukraine has exported 6.73 mln tonnes of grains and pulses since the beginning of 2025/26 MY, 174 thsd tonnes of which were shipped in October. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy with reference to the operational data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
It is specified that as of October 11 last year, the total shipments amounted to 11.739 million tons, including 1.291 million tons in October.
In terms of crops, since the beginning of the current season, the following was exported
– wheat – 4.792 mln tonnes (in 2024/25 MY – 6.798 mln tonnes)
– barley – 867 thsd tonnes (1.551 mln tonnes)
– rye – 0.2 thsd tonnes (10.5 thsd tonnes);
– corn – 947 thousand tons (3.12 million tons).
The total export of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season as of October 6 is estimated at 15.6 thsd tonnes (in 2024/25 MY – 21.2 thsd tonnes), including 15 thsd tonnes of wheat (19.2 thsd tonnes).
