Former US President Bill Clinton, 78, was hospitalized in Washington with a high fever. This was reported by NBC News with reference to Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to the source, the ex-president is at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Georgetown, D.C., “for examination and observation.”

Other sources close to the former president also confirmed that everything is fine now, the situation is “not urgent,” and Clinton is “conscious and alert.”

Clinton has had several health problems over the past two decades, mostly related to heart problems.

In September 2004, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery, and in February 2010, he had two coronary stents installed in his heart. He also underwent surgery for a collapsed lung in 2005.

In 2021, he was hospitalized for several days in California with a blood infection.

This year, Clinton was actively involved in the election campaign in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as promoting his book Citizen.

The former president, who served two terms from January 1993 to January 2001, also spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this summer.
