In 2008, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semen Kryvonos, was accused of bribing voters for Yulia Tymoshenko’s Bloc. At that time, the Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv found him guilty but exempted him from criminal liability due to the adoption of a minor child. This was stated by former SAP prosecutor Stanislav Bronevitsky on his Telegram channel. https://t.me/sbronik/206, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the court ruling published by Bronevitsky, Kryvonos was accused of committing a crime under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – bribery of voters. The court found that Kryvonos bribed students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, who were supposed to vote for Yulia Tymoshenko’s Bloc in the elections in exchange for monetary compensation.

However, before the trial began, Kryvonos filed a petition for amnesty with the court.
“The period of criminal prosecution coincided with the appearance of a ‘family’ and the birth of his son, Maksym Khomenko, who will turn 18 on May 4 this year. It was the presence of a minor child at that time that became the legal basis for the amnesty. A noble and, without a doubt, virtuous act by a future fighter against corruption,” wrote Bronevitsky.
Accordingly, the case was closed at that time.
“And this year, NABU, together with SAP, is presenting the same Yulia Tymoshenko with a suspicion of bribing another member of parliament. Yesterday, she worked for the party. Today, she is fighting the party. The fatal party of her entire life and the karmic woman of Ukrainian politics,” the former SAP prosecutor concluded.
“The Tymoshenko case”
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have handed Yulia Tymoshenko, head of the Batkivshchyna parliamentary faction, a suspicion of allegedly attempting to bribe MPs from other factions. The MP herself rejected these accusations and stated that the published audio recordings had “nothing to do” with her.
MP Serhiy Vlasenko, whose office was also searched by NABU and SAP investigators, called the actions of the anti-corruption agency “political pressure due to professional activity.”
The editorial office is preparing a request to NABU for an official comment on the information that has been made public.
