Electric car boom in Ukraine: which regions and models have become leaders in registrations

In October, the largest regional markets for electric vehicles in Ukraine were the city of Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Lviv regions. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukravtoprom.
It is noted that in October, almost 4.3 thousand electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian fleet.
In October, the following regions registered the most electric vehicles:
- Kyiv city – 604 cars, of which 48% were used;
- Lviv region – 597 cars, of which 92% were used models;
- Kyiv region – 364 cars (69% used);
- Dnipropetrovska oblast – 310 cars (75% used);
- Odesa region – 267 cars, 75% of which are used.
Popular models: new electric cars and bestsellers among used cars
The Ukrainian electric vehicle market is actively filled with both new models and used cars imported from abroad. The most popular models in different segments are:
- New electric cars:
In Kyiv, as well as in Dnipropetrovska, Lvivska, and Odeska oblasts, the most popular model was Honda M-NV.
At the same time, in Kyiv region, Volkswagen ID.4 is the leader.
- Used electric vehicles imported from abroad:
Tesla Model Y is a favorite among buyers in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Dnipropetrovska oblast.
Nissan Leaf is the most popular used electric car in Odesa and Lviv regions.
The statistics show the growing popularity of electric vehicles in Ukraine and indicate the regions where these cars are in greatest demand. The demand for electric vehicles grew by 68% over the year.
Meanwhile, the West is fighting the Chinese electric car industry: The EU is ready to take tough measures against Chinese electric cars, and the US will quadruple tariffs on them.
