Another training session under the Complex program was held in Poltava. The first aid training brought together 33 participants from local sports schools and clubs. The program was part of a large initiative of the Favbet Foundation and the FAST First Aid and Special Training organization, which develops a culture of safety in Ukrainian sports.

Among the participants of the training were representatives of the Sports Training Center of Poltava Region, O. Butovsky Children and Youth Sports School, Kolos Children and Youth Sports School, the National Deaflympic Team of Ukraine, Poltava Regional Organization of Spartak, and Vorskla FC. They learned how to act in the first minutes after an emergency, when human life depends on the right decisions.
The program included assessment of the victim’s condition, an algorithm of actions in case of critical bleeding, respiratory arrest and other conditions. Participants listened to theory and practiced their skills.

“We are used to the idea that a coach is a person who shapes character and results. But today, he or she must also be the first person to help at a critical moment. The safety of athletes is at the heart of sports development. That’s why we launched this project together with Fast,” emphasized Andriy Matyukha, President of Favbet Foundation.
The program has already covered different parts of Ukraine and gathered hundreds of participants. Rivne athletes, the national shooting team in Vinnytsia, biathletes from Chernihiv region, hockey players from the Sea Wolves club, and students of the Ivan Piddubnyi Olympic College joined the training.
The project organizers are purposefully moving toward their ambitious goal of involving about 1,800 participants across the country in the Complex program by the end of the year.
“The ability to save a life should be a basic skill for members of the sports community. There is no need to explain why. This is the knowledge we want to give to every coach and athlete. We support this program across the country. Poltava is another step in our work. More to come,” Favbet Foundation commented.

Favbet Foundation appeared in 2020 on the initiative of entrepreneur and philanthropist Andriy Matyukha. From the very beginning, the foundation’s work was based on the idea of giving the younger generation more opportunities for development. The team is actively investing in the development of educational and sports infrastructure for the younger generation of Ukrainians.
