Fico accuses the EU of lack of desire for peace in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine could have ended long ago if not for the European Union’s lack of commitment to it. This was stated by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on the air of the O 5 minút 12 program, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“If the European Union were to make as much effort for peace as it is making to support this war in Ukraine, this war could have ended long ago,” he said.

The head of the Slovak government emphasized that the goal of his cabinet is to end the bloodshed in Ukraine as soon as possible.

In September, Fico said that Slovakia adheres to a constructive approach in its relations with Russia. He added that Western politicians “shout out all kinds of moral appeals,” but their companies continue to operate in Russia.
