France intends to create a fund to rebuild Ukraine instead of the United States

France is working on an initiative to create a new fund for Ukraine’s recovery after the decision of the American investment company BlackRock to stop looking for investors for this purpose.
Bloomberg reports , citing sources, that France is working on a proposal to replace the canceled BlackRock fund.
“According to the sources, France is working on a proposal to create a fund to replace the canceled BlackRock initiative, but it is not yet clear how effective the new plan will be without US support,” the publication said.
In early 2025, BlackRock stopped looking for investors to support a multibillion-dollar fund for Ukraine’s recovery.
