Google has completely updated its “Results About You” tool, which helps users protect personal information and remove outdated content from search results. This is stated in the Google blog, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The new tool scans results that contain sensitive data, such as phone numbers or home addresses, and helps to remove them quickly. Google has also introduced proactive monitoring, which will automatically notify users if new results with their personal data are found.
The company has simplified the process of requesting deletion directly in search. After clicking on the ellipsis next to the result, an updated menu appears that explains what content is subject to removal and allows you to submit a request with fewer clicks.
In addition, Google has added a function to update outdated results. If a user has deleted or edited information about themselves on a web page, but the search does not yet reflect these changes, you can now request re-indexing to get the most up-to-date information.

This initiative is part of Google’s efforts to protect users’ privacy online.
