General Staff names areas where enemy attacks most actively

Over the last day, 146 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled all the occupiers’ attacks. This was reported by the General Staff, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

“In total, the enemy launched 60 missile and 90 air strikes, fired 107 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and settlements.

At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 20 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Ukraine’s air defence forces destroyed 17 attack UAVs.

Over the past 24 hours, air strikes were carried out on Shalygino and Yunakivka in Sumy region; Bilyi Kolodyaz, Staryi Saltiv and Lukiantsi in Kharkiv region; Lyman, Chasiv Yar, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Oleksandropil, Stara Mykolayivka, Novoselivka Persha, Karlivka, Moskovske, Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske, Umanske, Netaylove, Urozhayne, Kostiantynivka and Staromayorske in Donetsk region; Veselyanka, Orikhiv, Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region; Olgivka, Beryslav, Kizomys in Kherson region.

More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

The operational situation in theVolyn and Polissya sectors remains unchanged.

In theSiverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy maintains military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.

In theKupyansk sector, our troops repelled 16 attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

In theLiman sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 11 attacks in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Novolyubivka, Tverdokhlibove and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region.

In theBakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 26 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Andriivka, Verkhnekamianske, Novyi, Vyymka, Ivanivske and Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region.

In theAvdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 45 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, Kalynove, Novopokrovske, Semenivka, Umanske, Netaylove and Nevelske in Donetsk region.

In theNovopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Paraskoviivka, Vodiane and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defences of our troops 11 times.

In theOrikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 19 times near Staromayorske, Donetsk region.

In theKherson sector, the enemy has not abandoned its intention to drive our units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, over the past day, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our troops 4 times.

Enemy losses

Over the course of the day, the Defence Forces’ aviation and missile forces struck 3 air defence systems, 2 artillery systems, 10 areas of personnel concentration and 1 other important enemy object.

Between 24 February 2022 and 9 May 2024, the total combat losses of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine were approximately 478,730 (1300 per day ).
