Ruslan Shostak, a Ukrainian entrepreneur and founder and co-owner of the EVA and VARUS retail chains, has announced the launch of the large-scale WINHUB logistics project in the Kyiv region.

He made the announcement during the MIPIM international investment exhibition in Cannes, France, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to Shostak, WINHUB has already acquired the first of ten planned land plots for the construction of Class A warehouses in the Kyiv region and is moving into the active phase of the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

The company plans to acquire the remaining land plots between 2026 and 2027.

In total, the project involves the creation of 1 million square meters of modern warehouse space. Its implementation will take 6–7 years and will occur in ten phases—100,000 square meters each.

By 2030, the plan is to commission over 116,000 square meters of modern warehouse capacity.

The first warehouse is being built 7 km from Kyiv, next to the E40 international highway. The E95 highway also runs nearby, providing direct road access to Ukraine’s southern regions and the ports of Odesa.

The distance to Ukraine’s western border is approximately 550–650 km, which is about an 8-hour drive on average.

According to the entrepreneur, the total investment in the project will amount to about $1 billion. The multiplier effect is expected to be 3–4 dollars of economic activity for every dollar invested.

Shostak emphasized that WINHUB is intended to be not just a warehouse complex, but a modern infrastructure ecosystem that will combine logistics, technology, and business services.

It is expected that the project’s implementation could create up to 20,000 new jobs.
