Hungary intends to block the opening of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on the social network X, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to him, Budapest, together with U.S. President Donald Trump, will seek a deal with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and oppose sanctions that could harm Hungary’s energy security.
“The EU Commission has once again acted as Ukraine’s commission, speaking in favor of Kyiv over the interests of its members,” Szijjarto wrote.

According to the diplomat, Budapest will not allow Kyiv to start negotiations on European integration, as this will harm Hungarian agriculture. Szijjarto added that if the “Ukrainian mafia” entered Hungary, it would destroy public security.
