The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with military and civilian bloggers who cover military topics. He announced this on Facebook, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to Syrsky, bloggers’ drawing attention to current problems in the Defense Forces helps to respond quickly and find appropriate solutions.
“We frankly discussed the situation at the front. We elaborated on the need to reform the Armed Forces, create new brigades, replace brigade commanders and many other issues of public concern,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and said that such meetings would continue.
Facebook users actively reacted to the announcement of the meeting, paying attention, among other things, to the personal composition of the participants. In particular, they were surprised: “Only Berezovets is a well-known person among those present. Who are the others?” and asking: “Why aren’t Butusov, Zhdanov, Svitan, Sternenko present?”
As for Serhiy Sternenko, he had a conversation with General Syrsky not so long ago.
This is not the first meeting between the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian media personalities
Sergiy Sternenko was one of the participants of the previous meeting of General Oleksandr Syrsky with volunteers. This meeting took place two weeks ago.
All components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were reportedly discussed, ranging from technological innovations being implemented in the troops to the current problems of consolidating society around the army.
It was emphasized that this practice of discussions will further help to neutralize the enemy’s destructive influence on the personnel and Ukrainian society.
