Schedule of outages: Ukrenergo published the queues for December 5
5 December 2024 01:19
Today, December 5, Ukraine will reintroduce blackout schedules. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukrenergo.
Thus, today, December 5, the time of application and the scope of electricity restrictions will be as follows:
For household consumers:
- 06:00 – 07:00 – one round of outages
- 07:00 – 20:00 – two rounds of outages
- 20:00 – 22:00 – one round of outages.
For industry and business, from 05:00 to 23:00, power limitation schedules will be applied.
The reason for the temporary return of restrictions is the damage to power facilities during a massive missile and drone attack on November 28.
Ukrenergo assured that power engineers are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling in order to return the equipment damaged by the enemy to operation as soon as possible. Ukrainians are also asked to consume electricity sparingly when the power comes on as scheduled.
“Ukrenergo warns that the schedules of restrictions may be changed during the day. The exact schedules of outages at your address can be found on the websites of regional power distribution companies, regional energy companies and DTEK.
As a reminder, consumers in each region that are not included in the list of critical infrastructure facilities are divided into 6 queues (groups).
Restrictions on three queues mean that half of the consumers in each region are subject to hourly outage schedules. Four queues mean restrictions for up to 70% of consumers in each region.
When oblenergos apply one stage of outage schedules, it means 4 hours of restrictions per day, two stages – 8 hours of restrictions, three stages – 12 hours of restrictions, four stages – more than 12 hours of restrictions.
How to distribute this load during the day and how long the queue will be is the responsibility of the regional power distribution company.
