10 February 07:51

The National Bank of Ukraine has published the official exchange rates for Tuesday, February 10. The hryvnia strengthened slightly against the US dollar, while the euro and Polish zloty rose in value. This is evidenced by updated data on the regulator’s website, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

The official exchange rates of the NBU for February 10:

  • US dollar — 43.02 UAH (-2 kopecks)
  • Euro — 51.12 UAH (36 kopecks)
  • Polish zloty — 12.13 UAH (10 kopecks)

For comparison, on Monday, February 9, the official dollar exchange rate was 43.04 UAH, so the US currency fell by another 2 kopecks.

Situation on the interbank market

As of 3:30 p.m. on February 9, the interbank currency market quotes were as follows:

US dollar — 43.11–43.14 UAH (buy/sell);

euro — 51.29–51.31 UAH (buy/sell).

Fluctuations remain moderate, without sharp jumps.

Currency exchange rates

On Monday, February 9, the average exchange rates at exchange offices in Ukraine were as follows:

  • dollar: sale — 43.20 UAH, purchase — 43.10 UAH;
  • euro: sale — 51.39 UAH, purchase — 51.20 UAH.

On the cash market, the dollar also showed a decline — by about 10 kopecks, to 42.80 UAH in a number of exchange offices.

What this means

The trend indicates a moderate strengthening of the hryvnia against the dollar amid a stable situation on the interbank market. At the same time, the growth of the euro and the zloty reflects the movement of European currencies on foreign markets and domestic demand. Financiers advise monitoring official updates from the NBU and market quotes throughout the week.
