Ignat: Ukrainian pilots practice shooting at targets on F-16

Ukrainian pilots have switched to tactical techniques in their F-16 training, including shooting at ground and air targets. This was reported by the spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat, Kommersant Ukrainsky

“The process is ongoing. The pilots are practising tactical techniques. They are actually practising strikes on air and ground targets. This is very, very necessary. Because not only do you need to fly and control the airspace, you need to fight in it. And these are the things our pilots are practising now. As well as aviation personnel, engineers who are learning how to maintain this aircraft, its weapons, how to program it, how to strike with precision weapons,”
– ihnat said.
According to him, Ukraine is currently adapting the infrastructure at certain sites so that these aircraft can be used from domestic airports
However, Ihnat did not disclose the conditions and locations where Ukrainian pilots train.
Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been shooting down Russian aircraft much more frequently. In particular, in the last 13 days alone, 13 Russian aircraft, including an A-50, have been shot down.
