IKEA may return to Ukraine: when to expect the opening

Swedish retailer IKEA is considering returning to Ukraine, but is not talking about the timing. The company announced this in response to a request from Delo.ua, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
The company said it remains highly interested in the Ukrainian market.
IKEA is currently trying to assess the impact of the current situation on potential operations.
“When all the necessary aspects are in place, IKEA will again be able to offer its range of home solutions to as many people in Ukraine as possible,”
– the company’s press service said.
IKEA added that it cannot currently say when this will happen.
It should be noted that the first IKEA store in Ukraine has been operating in Kyiv’s Blockbuster Mall since February 2021.
The retailer suspended operations after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
We would like to add that the Spanish clothing retailer Inditex Group, which owns the Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear and Stradivarius brands, has reopened stores in Ukraine.
The reopening started with 20 stores, including in shopping malls in Kyiv.
In total, Inditex plans to open 50 out of 84 stores in Ukraine.
The decision comes after months of being bombarded by Ukrainian media and retailers with questions about when it would reopen its stores.
