In the Irish capital, Prime Minister Michael Martin accused the opposition leader of lying, but his words could not be translated because they do not understand Irish.
This was reported by Politico, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the publication, the official language of Ireland is Gaelic (also known as Irish Gaelic), which is simply called Irish.
However, a small number of citizens can speak Irish with confidence.
Prime Minister Martin is a representative of the Gaelic speakers, who are called native speakers.
At the meeting, he spoke Irish for a long time, answering questions from opposition leader Mary Lou MacDonald of the nationalist Sinn Fein party.
The opposition representatives could not understand what he was saying for seven minutes and waited for the official’s speech to be translated.
