Residents of 60 settlements in Sumy region have been completely evacuated

In Sumy region, most of the residents have left the dangerous areas. This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to Hryhorov, this week alone (June 9-15), more than 400 local residents were evacuated from the border communities, including 26 children.
“People are forced to move to safer areas because of the enemy’s constant shelling of civilian infrastructure,” said Grigorov.
He specified that the majority of people forced to leave their homes are residents of two districts: Sumy and Shostka districts.
He added that 213 settlements in Sumy region are currently subject to evacuation, and more than 60% of residents have already left the danger zone.
“All residents of 60 settlements from which evacuation is underway have already left,” he said.
















The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on June 15, the settlements of Velyka Pysarivka, Turya, Vysoke, Prokhody, Bila Bereza, Sosnivka, Brusky and Pokrovka were hit by Russian artillery and mortar fire in Sumy region. Russian troops conducted an air strike on the village of Petrushivka.
