The Cabinet of Ministers updated the rules for granting deferment from mobilization for teachers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has changed the procedure for military service upon mobilization. Now scientific and pedagogical workers who work at least 0.75 rate can get a deferment from mobilization for 1 year.
This was announced in Telegram by the permanent representative of the Government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
The deferment applies to scientific and pedagogical staff of institutions of higher and pre-higher education, scientific institutions, as well as teachers of vocational and secondary schools. It will be valid for the period of mobilization established by the President or until the moment when the person loses the right to deferment.
If the mobilization period is extended, employees must submit a certificate of their position and rate to the military commission no later than one week before the end of the previous period to extend the deferment.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science proposed to extend the right to deferment for teachers of state-owned and communal extracurricular educational institutions.
